Hadiya started playing ultimate in 2000 after seeing the McGill Ultimate Team practice behind her dorm. She started playing for the team, holding the roles of Captain, Treasurer, and President, while playing for a number of competitive women’s and mixed teams in Montreal. In 2005, Hadiya moved to Toronto and joined Lotus, and started playing Capitals the following year. In addition to playing for Union, Lotus and Capitals, Hadiya has represented Team Canada on several occasions, co-captaining the Women’s team at Beach Worlds in 2011, playing on Team Canada Women’s Masters in 2012, and as the head coach of Canada’s U23 Mixed team in 2013, bring home a silver medal on each occasion.

She is also on the Board of Directors of Ultimate Canada, is the Chair of Ultimate Canada’s Competition Committee, and is the TUC Women’s League coordinator.

When not playing, organizing, coaching or watching ultimate, Hadiya can be found at her desk at the Rotman School of Management where she is completing her Ph.D., at a coffee shop doing a cryptic crossword like a boss, or eating tacos somewhere.
