Emma is an original member of Union. Emma’s imposing 6’7 presence on the field has been instrumental to Union’s success. She is one of the premier pull-collectors in the game, centring discs to the likes of Mal L., Matt Kirk, M. L., Chris Bracht, Malissa Lundgren and the legendary Wendel Clark over the course of her illustrious career. Emma is an advocate for the modernizing of Ultimate through the addition of the “hockey assist” as a stat point, for which informal calculations suggest she would be the all-time leader. Emma got her start in ultimate when she realized that disc golf was too hard after shooting 45 over par in her first attempt at the sport… at the age of 10. Fortunately her aim has improved since then and she recently shot a mere 2 over par on the same course. In order to play ultimate Emma wanders the streets of Toronto collecting Aeroplan points. She also knows a lot about science and math and occasionally deigns to impart this knowledge upon teenagers and judge how well they have learned what she told them.
